Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a £4bn turnover organization where accurate and timely financial information is critical to decision-making for numerous stakeholders.

The role involves varied responsibilities within business unit controlling and management accounting, requiring strong analytical skills. The work includes both recurring and ad-hoc tasks, with an emphasis on process improvement and project-based opportunities to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Support central controlling teams in driving the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes across all business units, ensuring robust financial planning aligned with company objectives. Collaborate with local business and operational managers to define and propose improvement projects for budget inclusion, validating the financial information (e.g., sizing, business case, ROI) to support decision-making. Provide robust and timely financial reporting to local and central operational/controlling teams, ensuring performance visibility against targets and early identification of financial risks. Challenge operational performance and advise management in achieving targets by driving improvement measures and mitigation actions across financial topics. Participate in the evaluation of business cases and proposals for operational investments and performance improvement projects, providing critical analysis of assumptions and financial evaluations. Perform financial controlling activities in categories such as Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost, and Capex Jigs/Tools as required.

Skill Set:

Essential: Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) with at least two years of post-qualification experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment. Proficiency with SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, enthusiastic team with a proactive and positive mindset. Strong communication skills for managing relationships with multiple stakeholders across various levels and locations. A continuous improvement mindset.
