Role: Management Accountant (Practice based) Location: Alnwick, Northumberland (office based) Hours: Part time circa 2-3 days pro rata Working Hours: To be agreed around core office hours (Mon-Thurs 8-4.30 / Fri (phone number removed)pm) Salary: Dependant upon experience My client provides business advice & accountancy services to businesses across Northumberland. Based in Alnwick, the practice was established 20 years ago, and it has built and continues to develop a reputation linked with quality and professionalism whilst retaining its local roots and personal service which makes it unique. Due to continued client growth, the need has arisen to appoint an experienced accountancy professional to join the team who can take ownership of some of the qualified workload and the ability to provide consultative advice & guidance to clients. In addition, your experience and expertise will be essential in support those in the team who are in earlier stage of their careers with both professional & personal development. Key Responsibilities include: Production of account files and summaries and reporting to managers Building and maintaining relationships with clients and other professionals Monitoring and assisting with junior member of staff. Work with an agreed budget. Undertake statutory disclosures. Attend training to help further develop your skills. Assist with any other tasks required by the company. Produce draft tax computations. Skills & Experience required: At least 3-5 years of experience with accounts in an accountancy practice preferred. ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience. Enjoy working as part of a team in a professional work environment. Ability to build & manage pro-active client relationships with key stakeholders. Demonstrate a consultative & solutions focused approach to help clients grow & develop their businesses. Organisation skills and good time management skills to ensure statutory & non statutory deadlines achieved. Ability to manage multiple clients and fluctuating volumes of work around the statutory accountancy calendar. Enjoy the variety in clients that working in practice offers- from sole traders, partnerships through to more complex limited companies. Demonstrate strong IT skills coupled with the ability to use cloud software systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage. The company also use Digita software for statutory & tax reporting.
