Your new company A well-established company that operates across the UK and Europe. Your new role This Management Accountant position will report directly to the Finance Director and work within a small, close-knit team. You will be required to support and enhance the financial operations of the company, being an integral part of account production through to the month-end closure.

This position will be hands-on in taking responsibility for the daily cash, including allocation, bank reconciliation, and resolving queries from customers. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will prepare the month-end pack to include accruals/prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also assist in budgets and forecasting as well as reporting any discrepancies, providing solutions where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed This job will suit an ambitious and driven individual who is looking to take their career further and is already in a management accounting position. As this is a hands-on role, your experience will include transactional processing with exposure to the trial balance/nominal ledger as well. Along with strong IT skills (ideally using Sage), you will be competent at using Excel, including pivot tables and V-Look-ups. With excellent communication skills and a professional and mature approach, you will be able to demonstrate a team-oriented manner. It is likely you will have already begun your accountancy qualifications and are looking to qualify.
