ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintain accurate ledgers. Process weekly and monthly payroll, pension, and PAYE contributions. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls, systems and processes. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and filings. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by senior management. Prepare company tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes. Monitor office expenses and match purchase orders with invoices. Assist with strategic financial planning. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, highlighting areas of concern or opportunity. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and projects. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Manage submissions to HMRC for PAYE, VAT, Pensions. Ad-hoc financial / administrative tasks.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Fully qualified accountant (ACA or above) with post qualification experience. Advanced level of Excel and ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics). Strong knowledge of financial markets, financial systems and financial tools.

Desirable Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP.

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Exceptional communication skills: both verbally and in writing, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Proven capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Extremely high standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products and a passion to learn the use of new software. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Receptive and embracing new changes. Able to work under pressure and to deadlines. Organized and structured approach. Ambitious and proactive.

EDUCATION 2:1 or above degree in a suitable subject such as mathematics, business, economics, or a related field.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE Good understanding of CIR and other basic tax rules.

WHAT WE OFFER £45,000 - £65,000 per annum. Monday to Friday. Hybrid-working. 25 days holiday (increasing on length of service) + public holidays. Cycle to Work. Company Social Events. Pension + Life Assurance. Company laptop & mobile phone. Sick Pay. Referral Programme. On-site parking.
