£400 per day via Umbrella inside IR35 Join our team as a Management Accountant and be part of a leading organisation in the Utilities industry, working towards accelerating the transition to renewable energy.

Role Overview: As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive accounting support, ensuring accuracy in financial information and executing monthly accounting processes. Your insights and analysis will directly contribute to effective decision-making and help drive the business forward towards its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities: Execute month-end accounting processes and maintain the integrity of financial information. Deliver high-quality reporting and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. Provide excellent customer service by delivering financial performance insights directly to the business. Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure effective financial reporting support. Prepare forecast updates and provide effective narrative to budget holders. Ensure compliance with controls and escalate any deviations. Support the external audit process and provide accurate responses to queries. Conduct ad-hoc training to promote financial literacy and understanding.

Qualifications and Skills: Experience in management accounting and financial planning. Familiarity with S/4 HANA is preferred. Business-facing experience, preferably in a regulated industry. Strong understanding of governance, risk, and internal control frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Customer service-oriented. Graduate level education or equivalent professional experience. Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or working towards one of these qualifications.
