We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Management Accountant who has strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail with previous experience in a management accounting role. Working as the Management Accountant you will play a critical role in the financial health of the company. Your responsibilities will encompass leading and mentoring a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. As the Management Accountant you will report to the Head of Finance and provide support to the senior management team, providing insightful analysis and recommendations based on accurate and timely financial reporting. This includes the preparation and presentation of key financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards. As a successful candidate you will have a strong understanding of financial principles, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences. DUTIES

Your duties as a Management Accountant will include: Management of a small finance team ensuring accurate processing of all purchase and sales invoices. Maintenance of the month end timetable. Processing of month end to include journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc. Preparing periodic financial statements, including management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheet, dashboard, departmental analysis, forecasts, budgets, cash analysis, variance analysis and commentaries. Regular bespoke client reporting and processing. Completing quarterly VAT returns. Managing the Debtors and Creditors Ledger including credit control and weekly supplier payments. Maintenance of accounting processes and procedures. Cash flow management and forecasting. Fixed Asset maintenance and reporting. Support with the review and approval of the payroll. Implementation and improvement of strong internal controls. Act as a conduit for both internal and external audits. Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers. Support the Head of Finance and Admin in the management and development of the finance team. Deputise when required and any other ad hoc duties as requested. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Fully Qualified Accountant, (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), part qualified will be considered if experienced. • Previous experience in management accounting in industry. • Proven experience working in a finance department with a solid understanding of all aspects of finance. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using all Microsoft Office products. • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Team player with flexibility to quickly adapt to change. • Able to work to tight deadlines.
