About The Role

The successful candidate would deliver timely and accurate financial data to support business operations, partnering with department heads to manage budgets effectively and drive cost efficiencies, while ensuring the protection of business assets through strong financial integrity.

Main Responsibilities: Preparation of weekly/ monthly accounts Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and company policies are followed Yearend audit activities Provide analytical review of both financial and non-financial external returns and financial accounts to ensure reasonableness, consistency and accuracy Weekly KPI packs Fixed overhead spend reviews, providing strong cost control Review Asset register Balance sheet reconciliations (as per TB register) Review and Update rolling forecast Review purchasing spend tracking rebates, optimisation of payment terms Stock Reporting Identify opportunities for cost mitigation, propose a business case Providing commentary to the business to back-up accounts schedules Associating values to the business challenge Driving continuous improvement and developing processes In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

Experience of recognised ERP system. Preferably IFS Pro-active approach Excellent attention to detail, quality and accuracy Ability to work as part of a team Ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively with both colleagues and suppliers A lasting commitment to 'doing the job right' and challenging the status quo Salary: £45000 - £50000 per annum + Car allowance + bonus
