Role purpose Join PML as a Management Accountant and be at the heart of driving financial excellence and strategic decision-making within our dynamic organisation. Key Contributions and Responsibilities: Ensuring Financial Integrity: Maintain accuracy and integrity in the general ledger through detailed and timely transaction recording. Align financial processing with internal procedures and accounting principles. Driving Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports within set deadlines. Produce monthly management accounts and contribute to the annual statutory accounts and audit cycle. Providing Financial Insights: Analyse departmental and cost centre data, delivering actionable insights for management. Identify significant variances and trends, advising budget holders effectively. Supporting Business Strategy: Collaborate on rolling forecasts, year-end predictions, and budget performance reviews. Validate new expenditures and support business case development. Team Collaboration and Development: Liaise with finance team members to enhance data quality and reporting standards. Partner with financial and non-financial managers, offering guidance tailored to their needs. Essential Qualifications and Experience: CCAB qualified or part qualified Substantial accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management accounting role Essential Skills and Attributes: Proven expertise in variance analysis, trend identification, and budget-setting processes. Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in Windows-based software. Ability to explain complex financial matters to both financial and non-financial audiences. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. Effective interpersonal and business partnering skills, including influencing and negotiation. Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise tasks and take initiative appropriately. Adaptable and eager to learn new systems and software. Professional demeanour with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Desirable Skills and Attributes: Experience in the healthcare sector and healthcare administration. Strong skills in Excel (including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and pivot tables) and familiarity with SAGE accounting software.
