About the company Our client is a multi-award-winning group of financial services companies with ambitious growth plans through M&A activity. They are seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in Carlisle. This newly created role offers a blend of traditional financial responsibilities and the opportunity to collaborate with the London based CFO and local directors on continuous improvement initiatives.

Your New Role Reporting to the company directors in Carlisle, you'll also have a close working relationship with the London based CFO. The successful management accountant will be part of the Senior Management Team, with the following accountabilities: The timely and accurate preparation and review of monthly KPI reports. Preparation of accurate monthly P&L and balance sheet reviews with explanation around key variances month to month. Budget and cashflow forecasting with communication to the CFO and Managing Director. Liaising with the tax advisors to review and support timely filing of annual tax returns. Supporting the year-end audit process and other statutory/regulatory requirements. Working closely with the CFO on developing and documenting scalable finance processes and controls. Oversee the small finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join and grow with a successful, ambitious company.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications required We require the individual to have strong people and communication skills, IT literacy, be organized and motivated with leadership abilities. The successful candidate may be qualified by experience or part/fully ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with experience in a similar role, offering up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting, ideally including, but not essential, IFRS. Salary & Benefits Salary region up to £50,000 DOE. 33 days holiday entitlement (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing with service to a max of 38 days. Life insurance - 3 x salary (DIS). Pension 3% contribution (Royal London). Attractive, modern working environment, including kitchen, full shower facilities and 'break out' / lounge areas. Regular work events - meals out, quizzes, socials. Free on-site parking. This is a full-time, permanent role, office-based, working Monday-Friday (34.5 hours per week). Typical office hours 09:00 - 17:00 Mon-Thurs and 16:30 finish Fridays (1 hour lunch).
