Company Overview: Hallmark Engineering Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our team, enhancing our financial operations and providing critical insights that support our growth and strategic initiatives. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes, ranging from daily transaction management to long-term planning. As a business partner to our operational teams, you will drive financial performance and improvement across Hallmark's financial functions. Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Transactional Responsibilities: Accruals, Prepayments, and Month-End Close: Lead the monthly close process, preparing and reviewing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Directly manage AP and AR processes, ensuring timely collections and payments, with a focus on maintaining strong vendor and customer relationships. Credit Control: Implement and monitor credit policies to optimize cash flow and mitigate credit risk. VAT Accounting: Manage VAT compliance and submissions in line with UK regulations. Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity in balance sheet accounts. Management Responsibilities: Sales Invoice Control & Governance: Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring efficient practices and governance to support revenue assurance. Payroll Oversight: Coordinate payroll processes in collaboration with HR, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Project Accounting: Track project costs, revenues, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with project budgets. Business Partnering: Collaborate with operational teams across Hallmark, providing financial insights to support informed decision-making and strategic planning. Year-End Close & Compliance: Lead the year-end close process, preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with UK statutory requirements. Cash Flow Forecasting and Optimization: Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts, implementing strategies to stabilize and optimize operational funding. Management Information (MI) Reporting: KPI Reporting: Generate and analyze financial KPIs to assess and communicate Hallmark's performance, offering actionable insights for improvement. Variance Reporting: Perform variance analysis on actual results versus budget, identifying areas of deviation and potential improvement. Process Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of financial processes, supporting compliance, efficiency, and consistency. Continuous Process Improvement: Recommend and implement strategies to streamline financial processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy. What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification is highly desirable. Experience: Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a senior finance role, ideally within the engineering or manufacturing sectors. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial software and ERP systems, with strong MS Excel capabilities. Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to manage complex information with high attention to detail. Collaborative Communication: Strong communication skills, with experience in working alongside operational teams and senior leadership to drive financial performance. Deadline-Driven and Resilient: Ability to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving business environment, with resilience and adaptability to meet changing demands.
