Hutcheon Mearns is recruiting, on an exclusive basis, for a Management Accountant to take on a permanent position for our growing client. This is a key role which will oversee the day-to-day financial operations and systems of the business, ensuring the provision of accurate, timely financial information and grower returns. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will support both the daily operations and long-term growth initiatives of the business. The Opportunity As an experienced Accountant, you will take on the lead finance role within the team. Your responsibilities will include: Financial Management

Preparation of budgets, monthly management accounts, and year-end processes. Management of cash flows, ensuring efficient financial operations. Weekly sales figure capture and monitoring of discrepancies. Maintenance of the fixed asset register and adherence to purchasing policies. Processing VAT returns, supplier payments, and credit control activities. Bank reconciliations and purchase ledger management. Payroll management. Responding to financial data requests and handling enquiries professionally and promptly. Management of a small team (2 within accounts administration). General Business Support:

Collaboration with the management team to develop and enhance financial systems and processes. Contributing to the wider development and success of the business through operational improvements. The Candidate: You will have a proven track record of working in a dynamic, fast-paced sector and enjoy a varied role. Ideally, you will have an accountancy qualification such as an AAT Level 4 (or equivalent qualification/experience) and will have strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50. This role will be based in-office but the organisation operates with flexibility. The standard working hours are 9am - 5pm and start and finish times can be flexible to suit. Next steps?
