Join us as a Management Accountant
We'll look to you to deliver a smooth and coordinated financial reporting process across all business areas. With your expertise, you'll be translating the finance vision and strategy of your department into team objectives. You can expect the opportunity to gain valuable exposure as you work closely with Finance colleagues to develop business insights and opportunities to meet our strategic objectives.
What you'll do
As a Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for providing financial insight across a range of business initiatives. This will include budgeting, forecasting, strategy reviews, investment appraisals, performance monitoring, and defining opportunities for P&L improvement.
You'll also be working with customers and business partners to identify and define opportunities for cost efficiencies or income improvement, through business engagement and the interrogation of MI. Additionally, you'll be:
Supporting activity that reviews end-to-end profitability and value creation for the bank and taking responsibility for overall outputs and insights.
Developing financial models that deliver timely, robust, action-oriented outputs that can drive commercial discussions and decisions.
Creating draft forecasts and budgets and working with others to align them with business aspirations.
Providing input to the development of strategic business plans, budgets and forecasts, scenario planning, analysis, and cost management initiatives.
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you'll need knowledge and experience of working in a data-driven environment. We'll be looking for a good communicator with strong analytical skills and a track record of analysing and reconciling vast quantities of data.
The role will require a strong understanding of data management to support strategic decision-making, using Excel tools to transform outputs. Additionally, you'll need the ability to proactively work with and influence senior stakeholders across all areas of the bank. You'll also need:
A CIMA, ACCA or CFA qualification, or qualified by equivalent experience with a strong record of application in a business environment.
Strong people, process, and systems skills, with an understanding of how to improve existing systems and challenge existing processes.
A demonstrable ability to work well with and lead teams in different locations.
Experience with data visualisation as well as both technical and non-technical communication of findings.
