We are working with a growing and ambitious organisation based in Derby that is seeking an experienced and driven Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers a hybrid working model, providing the flexibility to work both from home and in the office.

About the Company: Our client operates in a fast–paced and evolving industry with an annual turnover exceeding GBP100 million. Backed by private equity, they are on an exciting growth journey and require a skilled Management Accountant to support their expanding operations.

The Role: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, understanding the key factors driving variances. Provide financial analysis and interpretation to assist senior management in monthly business reviews. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for designated regions. Take ownership of specific cost lines, performing analytical reviews and investigating significant variances. Manage and oversee internal financial systems and processes, including staff training. Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and controls. Develop and supervise a Finance Assistant, supporting their growth and development. Assist with statutory account queries and contribute to the audit process when required. Deliver ad–hoc reporting and analysis as needed. The Ideal Candidate: Part–qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant (or equivalent), actively working towards full qualification. Proven experience in preparing management accounts to tight deadlines. Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create and interpret detailed spreadsheets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation. A team player with excellent organisational and analytical skills, as well as technical expertise. Adaptable and proactive, with a strong eye for detail. Why Apply?
