AAT Qualified or Part CIMA Management Accountant role offering hybrid working based in Diss

Your new company

Hays Accountancy & Finance are supporting one of Norfolk's fastest-growing organisations in their search for an ambitious AAT Qualified or Part CIMA Qualified Accountant to join the Management Accountant team. The business offers a generous benefits package including 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office.

Your new role

In the role of Assistant Management Accountant, you will join the Management Accounting team and be responsible for reviewing the nominal ledgers and supporting the team in the preparation of monthly profit & loss reports and balance sheet review for various sites across the UK of this £500m turnover business, which also has operations overseas. This will also involve using your analytical skills in analysing variances across various cost-centres as well as investigating any queries from the senior leadership team and the postings of accruals and prepayments. You will also assist with the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring these reconciliations are complete and any variances investigated. These duties are crucial to the successful day-to-day financial operation of the business. Therefore, we expect you to have proven experience understanding nominal ledger postings, been involved in month-end close and are able to post journals as well as at least understand the principles of monthly management accounts.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be at least AAT qualified or due to complete your AAT studies and have experience of assisting in the production of monthly management accounts or be an experienced Part CIMA / ACCA Management Accountant looking to join a larger finance department supporting the senior management accounting team. It is expected you will be confident with Excel (intermediate level) and strong communication skills as you will work closely with senior managers as well as stakeholders.

What you'll get in return

The organisation offers a salary range of £32,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, generous holiday package, free car parking, pension, share-save scheme, hybrid working of 2 days at home and 3 days in the office. Please contact Andy Jarman on 01603 760141 for more details.
