Description

To ensure timely & accurate monthly reporting for Elemis entities. To meet all the reporting requirements both externally and internally. To ensure a robust control environment is maintained and to assist the business in fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

What Will You Do?

Preparation of monthly management accounts for internal and group reporting purposes, in line with the month end timetable. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts are completed on a timely basis. Ownership of inventory management for the retail stores (across UK & Ireland). Ensure compliance with statutory reporting including HMRC, National Statistics and other government regulatory bodies where applicable. Support the senior finance team with external audit requests, and assist with corporation tax preparation. Provision of management information and analysis in response to specific requests. Assist the business with budgeting and forecasting as required. Facilitate a business partner relationship with key contacts within the wider business, to provide financial support, insight and commentary. Operation of the accounting and supporting IT systems, including month end routines and identification and resolution of operational challenges. Drive process improvements and efficiencies whilst improving the quality of outputs. Maintain comprehensive internal process notes. Work as a team with other individuals and colleagues in the Company, sharing knowledge when appropriate, helping colleagues and promoting a spirit of mutual respect and support. Ad hoc duties as requested by management. Understand and abide by Company and departmental rules, policies and procedures.

The Perfect Candidate

Essential Professional accountancy body qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Excellent technical accounting ability including knowledge of FRS102. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Positive work attitude. Ability to work on own initiative, whilst working collaboratively with the team. Desirable FMCG/Retail experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP concur.
