Role Summary:

As part of our finance team, the Management Accountant will assist the Head of Financial Accounting in reporting the business's trading performance. This includes margin and manufacturing variance analysis, as well as departmental overhead spend. The role will also work closely with budget holders to ensure accuracy and timely reporting across the business. Additionally, the role includes preparing the month-end rec file and control account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. We are looking for a confident communicator with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Report the trading performance of the business, monthly and weekly, covering sales, profitability, labour, factory overhead variances, and departmental overhead costs. Prepare financial performance analysis for Directors and the Senior Team. Analyse stock movements, voids, wastage, and yield variances. Update departmental financial overhead forecasts and final actuals each month. Develop new business reports, KPIs, and dashboards as part of the ERP system rollout. Prepare weekly management account and KPI reports. Update monthly management accounts with new forecasts. Meet with department heads to review actual vs. budget. Maintain key data in the ERP system. Prepare the month-end rec file, including control account reconciliations and fixed asset register maintenance. Assist with weekly payroll processing and manufacturing labour variance analysis. Reconcile the invoice discounting finance facility. Qualifications:

Candidates should be part qualified, finalist, or newly qualified CIMA or ACCA, looking to take the next step in their career. Studies will be supported as part of long-term development. Skills & Experience:

Experience in financial information posting, analysis, and reporting. Ability to liaise across all business areas with accuracy and attention to detail. Team player, confident working independently. Proactive, with a can-do attitude. Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer literacy, with a quick learning ability. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups. Shift:

Monday-Friday, 0800-1600hrs, with 1 day working from home per week considered. Salary:

Up to £45k, dependent on experience. Benefits: 25 days + 8 bank holidays leave. 15 days paid company sick leave per year. Access to an online training portal.
