Management Accountant, £45-50K, Harrogate/Leeds, Hybrid Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a new challenge where you can learn and develop your career? Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their Finance team. You will undertake the preparation of monthly management accounts, consisting of the profit and loss and balance sheets in addition to the preparation of information for statutory accounts, recording of fixed assets, project tracking and payroll in line with the Group financial control framework and Group reporting timetable. Skills Required: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), part qualified (to qualify in next 12 months) or QBE Experience of IFRS and UK GAAP essential, experience of CASS would be beneficial Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Broad range of general accounting functions Expertise in overseeing and reviewing the analysis of data Self-motivated, organised and ability to work under pressure Ability to train others Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts Prepare monthly KPIs which support and complement the management accounts Post and oversee the review and approval of journal entries Monthly preparation and management of the accruals and prepayments Be responsible for understanding and validating all aspects of the profit and loss Monthly preparation of full balance sheet reconciliation Monthly preparation of the Fixed Asset Register Preparation of year-end audit files and liaison with external auditors Preparation of quarterly VAT returns Review of monthly payroll and FTE analysis Preparation of monthly exceptionals for Finance Manager review Production of monthly cashflows with forecast projections Support budget and forecasting, profit and loss + cash basis In return you will be offered: 26 days holiday leave plus bank holidays Opportunity to progress your career Learning & development support to obtain professional qualifications 24-hour Employee Assistance support for you and your family Corporate perks such as discounted gym memberships, cinema tickets, shopping One day paid volunteering to give back to our communities Hybrid working pattern To find out more about the role, call Nicola on the office number or apply by emailing your CV.
