About the role: The Lanes Group are looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance team supporting the Senior Management Accountant. This position is joining a well-established team based in our Leeds Head Office.

Key Responsibilities: Produce monthly management accounts, including routine journal postings (accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc). Post daily cash postings/bank reconciliation and issue weekly cash reports. Monitor rebate accounts to ensure that rebate payments are made correctly and on time. Complete monthly bank reconciliations. Review the financial performance against budget and analyse any variances. Work with depot managers to gather data on KPIs and use this information to drive improvements in the business. Nominal coding of invoices. Year-end preparations: preparing financial statements, such as the balance sheet and income statement, and ensuring that all financial records are up to date. Analyse sales data and make provisions for any potential liabilities or losses. Maintain an up-to-date record of all fixed assets. Work with external auditors to ensure that the financial statements are accurate and comply with accounting standards.

About You: Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in the Construction/Drainage industry. You must be able to demonstrate a methodical and logical approach to your work and have confident time management skills.
