Management Accountant required to work in a small finance team of 3. Due to continued success and growth, this newly created role will support the team with a broad range of accounting areas including AP, cash, month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and tax.

Management Accountant

- An outstanding opportunity for an experienced, nearly or newly qualified Management Accountant to work for an award-winning business, who truly puts their employees first.

This role offers remote working, ideally for someone based in Worcestershire, with quarterly meetings in the local area and occasional travel to company meetings in London.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Management - Document processes including accounting and monthly close processes. Incorporate controls and processes to comply with the Group Control Framework. Assist with the month-end close process, including calculation and posting of prepayments and accruals, intercompany loan interest, and intercompany recharges. Take ownership of balance sheet accounts. Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards daily and prepare a weekly cash forecast. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and variance analysis of actuals to budget. Assist with statutory audits and tax information requests. Ensure the business is applying Group accounting policies and standards and that accounting records are being appropriately maintained in accordance with Accounting IFRS and FCA regulatory requirements. Assist in internal and external audits. Analysis and Reporting - Understand and analyse key drivers of revenue and expense variances when comparing with budgets and prior year, seeking explanation of variances and providing commentary. Required Experience and Skills:

Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in period-end close processes and reporting. Strong Excel skills, i.e., pivot tables and complex formula knowledge. Knowledge of and experience in the application of the principles of internal control in financial reporting. Experience of international currencies is desirable.
