This rapidly growing company supplies and manufactures specialist equipment for customers in the UK and Europe. Privately owned and based in attractive offices, they have a reputation for innovation and customer service. Recent expansion through acquisition has prompted the need to strengthen the finance department with the addition of an experienced Management Accountant. The role will work closely with a part-time FD and will involve regular interaction with the MD and senior team to ensure the timely and accurate production of financial information. The main responsibilities will be: Preparing the monthly management accounts pack Supervising the month end close process Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting Balance sheet reconciliations Preparing the year end accounts Monitoring FX transactions VAT returns, PAYE etc. Stock reconciliation and valuation Ad hoc reporting and analysis of KPI’s This fantastic opportunity has real potential and can offer a rewarding experience to an ambitious finance professional looking for an all-round role with an SME. This company is on an exciting journey and is looking to attract someone of high calibre with a desire to make an impact in a growing business. The role will be office based with the option to work from home two days a week once up and running. Suitable applicants must have previous experience of owning the management accounts production process and a flexible approach to deal with the variety of accounting tasks associated with a small finance department. Strong QBE accountants or CIMA / ACCA part or nearly qualified potential candidates will be welcomed. Excel to a good level and experience of SAGE 200 would be advantageous.
