Management Accountant

to join our finance team. We would consider newly qualified candidates. This role is essential in providing financial insights, preparing accurate management reports, and supporting business decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in a management accounting role. The Person This role would suit a newly qualified or part-qualified management accountant, ideally from the IT or Telecoms sector. Must have strong management accounting experience, including financial reporting and variance analysis. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel; experience with Sage Line 50 is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Produce variance analysis reports and provide insights into financial performance. Assist in the preparation of annual and monthly budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Support the Finance Manager with year-end audit processes and statutory reporting. Monitor and analyze costs, identifying areas for efficiency improvements. Provide financial support to department managers, aiding in their decision-making processes. Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes. Handle ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.
