The role involves preparing, analysing, and reporting management accounting and payroll information, providing accurate and timely financial data to support decision-making by the Managing Director and Board. It also includes contributing to the organisation's financial and payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and managing a small finance and office team. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Produce monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cashflows. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and manage annual audit preparations. Assist with tax matters, including VAT and corporation tax, in liaison with external auditors. Provide departmental cost analysis for profit and loss evaluations. Handle import/export documentation and negotiate supplier contracts. Invoicing and Credit Control: Oversee invoicing and credit control, ensuring accurate reporting. Payroll Management: Prepare payroll information, complete statutory filings (HMRC, pensions), and ensure payroll is ready for Managing Director authorisation. Team and Department Oversight: Line manage specified accounts and administrative staff. Maintain a clean and organised department office environment. Additional Duties: Undertake project planning, analysis, and other tasks as directed by the Managing Director. Candidate Profile: Qualifications: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA). At least 5 years' financial management experience in manufacturing. Skills & Experience: Proficiency in accounting principles and tools, with experience in Sage software. Expertise in preparing financial reports, detailed cost breakdowns, and managing audits. Strong analytical, leadership, and team management abilities. Key Competencies: Excellent business and financial acumen. Strong communication, analytical, and multitasking skills. High attention to detail, process-focused, and capable of working under pressure. Flexible and proactive with the ability to adapt to changing requirements. INDCHE
