As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing full management accounts, analyzing variances, and supporting the financial performance of the care homes within your area of the business.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Management Accountant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be on preparing full management accounts for a proportion of the care homes, building strong relationships with the management teams, and reviewing and analyzing any variances to the budget. Your responsibilities will include presenting the management accounts, maintaining full P&L responsibility, preparing annual budgets, and producing accurate and timely investor packs.

Job Responsibilities

Other Responsibilities Will Include: Presenting the management accounts to the Finance Director and Head of Commercial Finance for review Full P&L responsibility for each home with supporting balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of the annual budget for the homes within your area of the business and participating in the meetings to set these budgets Reviewing budgets against prior year budgets and performance, looking at trends and variances Accurate and timely production of monthly investor packs

Our Ideal Candidate Must Have/Be:

Experience in a similar Management Accountant type role, ideally in a large, complex business in a multi-site model Experience in building strong working relationships with the operational side of a business The ability to take on the responsibility of improving the financial performance of their area of the business Experience in improving systems and processes Accurate, diligent and able to meet strict deadlines
