This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to enhance their skills and advance their career within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation dedicated to higher education and charitable objectives. The Finance Team operates in a highly professional environment, where this role will play a crucial part in delivering quality processes and support across the organisation. Main Duties: Budgeting and Forecasting:

Under the Controller's supervision, manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting. This includes regular interaction with department heads to understand key priorities and activities. Endowment Activities:

Support the Controller in all endowment-related tasks, including reviewing accounting entries and collaborating with external service providers such as banks, fund managers, and investment advisors. Project Accounting:

Take on direct responsibility for project accounting in subsidiaries, focusing on development and capital expenditure projects. Taxation:

Assist the Accountant with the organisation's taxation matters, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax. Financial Processes:

Engage in financial process reviews, data analysis, and various ad hoc projects as needed. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Highly motivated and experienced professional with leadership potential. Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience. Proactive attitude with the ability to perform under time constraints. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Fully or partially qualified, working towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification. Experience in the educational or charitable sector. Familiarity with complex VAT environments. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Experience in managing changes in financial reporting processes. Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Exposure to banking, financial markets, and real estate investment. Understanding of Charity SORP. Experience with Power BI.
