Management Accountant Hybrid Flexi January start '25 About the Role We are looking for a talented Management Accountant to join an existing team. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and reporting, ensuring the smooth running of the Finance function. From managing transactional processes to preparing Board reports and leading audits, your work will directly impact the financial health and governance of the business. You will work closely with the Head of Finance, providing vital support on internal and external reporting while identifying and implementing process improvements to benefit the team and the wider company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and a proactive mindset to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment. What You Will Do Oversee day-to-day finance activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and monthly/annual reporting. Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and draft Board reports within 5 working days. Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Manage and coach direct reports, setting objectives and conducting regular reviews. Lead annual statutory audits and prepare statutory accounts. Support annual corporation tax computations, budgeting, and forecasting. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (e.g., ONS submissions, payroll, VPAS). Interrogate, interpret, and visualize financial data to support decision-making. Maintain financial controls, policies, and governance while encouraging continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business. What We Are Looking For You must have 3+ years of experience and be either ACCA or CIMA qualified. A detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in finance management. Strong technical ability and adherence to governance procedures. Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet reporting deadlines. What's On Offer Competitive salary of £45,000 per annum. Generous benefits package. 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri, allowing 2-3 days to work from home, except at 'month end'; also able to start early and finish early, so plenty of flexibility.
