Management Accountant Required. Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their team. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting on management accounting information. You will provide the Director with timely, accurate, and relevant insights while contributing to the organization's financial management procedures to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance. Benefits: Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience) Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Opportunity to work with a supportive, dynamic team in a well-established company Free on-site parking Company pension scheme 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Responsibilities: Processing weekly payroll for 130+ staff, including all related reporting Managing month-end payroll procedures, including pension and HMRC submissions Preparing monthly management accounts and leading the month-end process Conducting variance analysis and providing commentary on financial discrepancies Managing cash flow analysis, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets Preparing monthly balance sheet reports and related commentary Leading the annual budget process and year-end forecast Providing information to Directors as needed Reviewing bank reconciliations and supporting as required Managing monthly adjustments, including accruals, prepayments, and stock Assisting with annual audit preparations and company filings Handling tax matters, including VAT and corporation tax Preparing quarterly VAT returns Resolving accounting issues and discrepancies promptly Skills and Attributes: Strong understanding of business and financial principles Excellent communication and teamwork skills Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and responsibility Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills High level of attention to detail and process-oriented approach Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the organization Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements Thorough understanding of management accounting and payroll principles Prior experience in a similar role Advanced proficiency in Sage, payroll software, and Microsoft Office ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
