Permanent Management Accountant job for a dynamic, expanding company in the Stockport area.

Your new company

A dynamic company that continues to expand through acquisitions and retaining a high-profile customer base.

Your new role

This is a newly created position reporting directly to the FD. You will be solely responsible for the preparation and presentation of the management accounts, in board pack format, to the Directors and shareholders. Taking ownership of the management accounts, you will investigate and provide solutions to any anomalies, variances and costings each month, providing the FD with accurate management information for the board, including cashflow projects, fixed assets, balance sheet and profit and loss. Being heavily project based, you will provide Work In Progress reports liaising with the shop floor, project managers and external contacts alike. Daily monitoring of the accounts payable and receivable transactions is essential, questioning any anomalies and resolving the issues.

What you'll need to succeed

This is a challenging position giving you full exposure to the commercial and operational aspects of the company in the production of the management accounts. Therefore, you will have a current track record as a Management Accountant over the last two - three years as a minimum, ideally longer, in order to pick up the position quickly (part qualified or qualified by experience). Experience from a manufacturing or engineering background would be desirable although not essential, but strong costing or Work In Progress experience would be preferred. Excellent communication skills are required in order to build rapport with colleagues who will assist you in bringing together the management information required for the month-end reporting. Being team orientated and with a friendly disposition, will ensure your success as this role and company continues to grow.

What you'll get in return

Flexible working options are available after your probation period along with study support (if required), 25 holidays, on-site parking, pension and, above all, the opportunity to develop your experience and position within the company for the longer term.
