Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a rapidly growing and interesting international group to recruit a dynamic Management Accountant for their office based between Stroud and Gloucester. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role can offer future development and progression where you will really take ownership of the Management Accounting processes for the UK entities within the Group, along with process/systems improvements and projects as the business grows further. Open to part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountants who are looking for a challenge, candidates both from industry and practice will be considered. Remote/Office hybrid working of 2 days on-site and 3 days remote working, within a culture that really looks after its employees.

Your new role

Your key duties will ensure the production of financial information and management accounts, including various accounting entries, month-end/year-end closings, accruals/prepayment/journals, along with budgeting/forecasting processes. You will ensure data input of all entries with different companies within the group are correct and up to date with the relevant reconciliations in place, have oversight of monthly, quarterly and annual closings, along with intercompany reconciliations, VAT returns and oversight of bank reconciliations to resolve complex finance queries. You will support the Financial Controller with existing accounting processes, and make improvements as required in line with group policies, along with being involved in various projects. You will partner internally both within the UK and internationally to support a smooth and accurate month-end process.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Management Accountant role, you will need experience in a similar position, part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong MS Excel skills, knowledge of financial systems and be used to managing workloads to meet deadlines. You will have key business partnering skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels around the group, along with being able to build relationships with external parties, ability to adapt to a changing/growing business, along with a methodological and concise working approach. You will be a strong problem solver who embraces change and process improvement, along with being a team player. Experience within an international group and ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Management Accountant role is offering a salary between £45,000 - £53,000 per annum, dependable on experience based between Stroud and Gloucester with remote/office hybrid working (2 days on-site, 3 days remote) along with up to 10% annual bonus. Contributed pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, study package for ACCA/ACA/CIMA if applicable, progression/development and further group benefits.
