CMA is excited to offer an opportunity for an Interim Management Accountant to join our client’s Finance team for a 6-month contract. Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing industry, with over 150 years of experience and operations in 52 countries.
In this role, you will work closely with plant managers and operational teams, providing financial insights and explaining variances. You will play a pivotal role in monthly management accounts preparation and budget evaluations. Occasional overnight stays will be required as part of your responsibilities.
What will the Management Accountant role involve?
Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts for both internal management and external reporting purposes. Provide comprehensive financial analysis and insights to Manufacturing & Logistics Managers, highlighting key issues and identifying opportunities for improvement. Analyse and comment on variance analysis related to manufacturing and logistics costs. Perform in-depth evaluations of plant inventory. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for Operations and Logistics. Prepare necessary documentation for audits and coordinate with auditors as needed. Contribute to additional ad-hoc finance projects as required. Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Ideally a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Advanced analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
