Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their Accountancy team in Woking. Client Details Our client, a well-known & growing business based in Woking, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their Accountancy team. Description Management Accountant - Woking Preparation of monthly management accounts (full Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and cashflow), variance analysis & commentary, for initial review with Head of Finance before distribution to senior managers and directors. Taking direct ownership of the financial reporting. Consistent checking and reconciling of all balance sheet items to ensure that the balance sheets are kept clean - investigating and resolving any discrepancies and reconciling items. Prepare your own and review other team members' monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Help with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts and assist in the review of management accounts versus budgets/reforecasts. Manage the cash flow process. Work with finance team and AP to ensure the smooth running of the sales and payment cycles. Be an authoriser of payments and payrolls on HSBC and ensure payments are made accurately and on time and sales receipts are received promptly. Prepare monthly journals including PO accrual, settlement accrual, PP and levy journals, lease journals, reversals, prepayments, general accruals, funding, profit share and deferred revenue journals. Review Stock Audits. Prepare VAT returns. Review weekly debtors and take ownership of overdue cash procedures. Assess recoverability of debtors and notify Head of Finance in a timely manner of potential bad debt write-offs. Understand the financial processes, including making recommendations for improvements to processes to ensure a tight internal control environment and best practices to reduce financial risk. Identifying areas of potential cost savings and revenue opportunities, providing recommendations to maximise profits and assist the team in decision making. Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests in a timely and effective manner. Profile A successful applicant will have experience with the above & be available on short notice. Job Offer Salary: £45,000 - £50,000.
