Closing Date: 31/12/2024 Area: Lancashire Job summary This is an exciting, new opportunity which gives you practical experience of general management and other leadership roles in General Practice. General management role includes people management, resource and budget management. Working closely with the practice Director and Practice Manager and consulting patients and the public on improving services. We aim to equip you with the skills and the confidence to be able to make a real difference to our healthcare services - with the fundamental aim of improving patient care. The scheme is designed to give you a range of experience so that you can learn, develop and move into more senior post in our organisation following completion. As a management trainee, you will undertake two distinct placements over three years - one will be an operational role ensuring services are managed and delivered in the best possible way for our patients, and the other will be a placement focusing on quality and service improvements or longer-term plans and projects. This means you will gain exposure across the practice, equipping you with the knowledge and experience to progress your career post-scheme. This will encompass practical experience in: Organisational strategy Change management Project management Financial management HR management Each placement role will provide different challenges and varied stakeholders. Everything you do will have a focus on delivering the best, high-quality care for our patients. This role is aimed to grow and develop your work-based skills, and an essential component of the programme includes studying towards a Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, supported by a three-year course with UCLan, September 2025 intake. With hard work and commitment at the end of the scheme you will have gained the knowledge and skills and a professional qualification which will enable you to be able to apply and progress in more senior level role within our practice, with greater complexity, and higher earning potential. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Apprenticeship Pay: From £14.67 per hour
