Genesys is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Endpoint Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic Endpoint team. Your role is to be a leader of innovation in workplace computing. You will manage a globally diverse team of engineers who share your passion and the ability to execute a shared vision and bring ideas to life. You will serve as a thought leader, mentor, and coach to help everyone do their best work. This pivotal role is responsible for managing the engineering of desktop environments for Windows, MacOS, and Ubuntu through central management tools, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee, develop, and build a high-performing team responsible for Applied’s Workplace Computing/End User Computing Device Management Platforms that manage 10k+ devices and hardware platforms, including key technologies like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Azure, Jamf, and Autopilot.

Hands-on involvement in projects, ensuring efficient deployment and management of Endpoint environments.

Drive the adoption and optimization of PC solutions, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Manage Endpoint Patching for Windows, MacOS, Ubuntu & 3rd party Apps.

Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, setting clear objectives, evaluating performance, and facilitating professional development.

Own the strategy development, configuration and overall experience of core platforms and operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, iOS, Android, and Unix, with an emphasis on providing stability, increased productivity, security, an intuitive design and end user experience.

Develop and execute roadmaps through research and evaluation of emerging technologies and tools to bring the future of computing to Applied Materials.

Collaborate with other stakeholders, support teams, business units, IT peers and leadership to share your vision and incorporate their feedback and ensure maximal business value creation.

Work with security, infrastructure, networking, and applications engineering teams to ensure M365 & MacOS works in a Zero Trust environment.

Minimize user downtime by improving the remote reimaging process.

Develop and maintain design documentation, end user and support documentation.

Provide weekly reporting of issues and projects.

Utilize Active Directory, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, and other tools to support a highly mobile and geographically diverse end users.

Partner across IT leadership on the design and execution of ITIL processes, to leverage data, automation & AI.

Manage the integration of MDM systems with other enterprise security and management tools.

Implement and enforce security measures for Endpoint devices, including device encryption, access controls, and threat detection.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards related to endpoint devices.

Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving MDM-related issues.

Perform data analytics, planning, and reporting for operational activities and projects.

Experience with SOX, cyber essential, compliance and the ability to support annual audit exercises.

AWS VDI – Creating & Managing Images.

Manage and implement removal of Admin rights on Endpoints across the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

A degree in computer science, information technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.

Enterprise level expertise in engineering and managing desktop environments across multiple operating systems (Windows, macOS, Ubuntu) using central management tools such as Jamf Pro, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, or similar.

Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, highly organized, efficient and up to date with latest technologies.

Extended hour and weekend support as required by mission or emergencies.

Experience with Microsoft Bitlocker, FileVault, and or JSS/Mac desired, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell and scripting.

In-depth knowledge of MDM concepts, mobile security, and compliance standards.

System maintenance, patching, and vulnerability remediation efforts and ensure the highest level of Endpoint and infrastructure availability.

Ability to solve complex technical and business problems and collaborate with others to achieve positive outcomes.

Able to work effectively and independently under deadlines.

Process driven and ability to understand the complete project life-cycle including creating and updating all relevant documentation for IT & support teams.

Strong analytical problem-solving skills with ability to draw conclusions methodically and logically.

Able to negotiate, demand and prioritize with stakeholders.

A proactive self-starter who will actively seek out innovative opportunities to deliver value, whilst ensuring alignment to the overall IT strategy and priorities.

Able to work closely with senior (executive level) business stakeholders, demonstrating the gravitas and presence to inspire confidence and influence actions.
