Works with OPS-Management team to understand, identify, and prioritize MES/SPC/Reporting/Automation related information systems requirements supporting Manufacturing Operations.

As the Manager, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, execution, implementation, support/maintenance, and optimization of MES and automation solutions within manufacturing operations as well as leading a team of professionals, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and working closely with vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, and quality throughout the manufacturing process as the company evolves.

Key Tasks

MES Strategy and Planning:

Develop and execute the long-term strategy for MES implementation and automation initiatives aligned with the company's overall manufacturing goals and objectives.

Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and automation opportunities.

MES Implementation and Maintenance:

Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of MES solutions across the manufacturing facilities.

Ensure MES systems are properly maintained, updated, and compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Backup/retrieval of process data in/from all major databases.

Automation Systems Management:

Evaluate and implement automation technologies with assigned OPS domain leads, on latest technologies such as robotics, MCS, AGV’s, PLCs, SCADA systems, and IoT devices, to optimize manufacturing processes and increase overall productivity.

Monitor and troubleshoot process and metrology tool automation systems to minimize downtime and maintain peak operational efficiency.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

Utilize MES data and analytics to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

Generate and present regular reports to management on key performance indicators and progress towards operational goals.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization techniques.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and analysts responsible for MES and automation support and development.

Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications and Training:

Degree or above with major in Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.

Desired although not essential - experience in Semiconductor volume manufacturing environment.

Skills and Experience:

Experience leading a team of MES or Software engineers in a technical/managerial role.

Strong experience in MES, SPC, EAP Tool automation Systems development, rollout and maintenance support.

Proficient in relational database systems, scripting, and programming languages.

ERP and MES interface.

Server software’s and licenses installations and configurations.

ORACLE & SQL Database Management.

Database, CSV Files, FTP.
