People Consulting is a growing part of KPMG's Advisory practice. We help transform the performance of organisations by changing the way people are led, managed and developed. We do this by focusing on two key areas - delivering the people agenda on large scale, complex, transformational change programmes and transforming the HR function. The Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) team within People Consulting works in five main market areas: Central Government and Justice; Transport and Infrastructure; Education, Skills & Productivity; Health and Human Services; and Local Government. Our purpose is to lead transformation for and with people, to make a positive impact for clients and citizens. Our work is incredibly varied and on a day to day basis your work could cover: Managing a team of consultants and working closely with client teams to deliver client engagements. Providing specialist advice and working closely with client leads and team members to successfully deliver project outcomes. Contributing to business development and sales, working with account teams to scope opportunities and developing compelling proposals to win new clients. Contributing to the development of methods, tools and thought leadership. We are seeking a talented individual to manage and deliver client engagements, with demonstrable experience of managing the design and delivery of complex change and transformation programmes (People-Centric Transformation) to support our clients with addressing key market challenges. Typically these programmes would cover at least one of the following areas: Target Operating Model Design Organisational Redesign Financial Recovery Programmes Service Improvement Back-Office Transformation Digital Transformation Key Responsibilities: Demonstrable experience of managing the delivery of complex transformation programmes for clients with a flexible skill-set and proven ability to respond to a range of different client problems. Knowledge and experience of a number of the other areas highlighted above. Knowledge and experience of working with organisations covered by at least one of the IGH market areas outlined above. Strong track record of managing engagement teams to deliver successful projects that meet the agreed client outcomes and experience of leading and managing teams. Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills (including writing communications) and demonstrable experience working with senior leaders and ability to own executive-level relationships. Ability to demonstrate continuous learning and a passion for your discipline. Business development experience and ability to bid manage pursuits and write proposals. Desirable: A proven track record in consulting with demonstrable grasp of all core consulting skills. While we expect all of our consultants at manager grade to be able to work flexibly across our five market areas, our ambition is for the successful candidate to be aligned to our Education, Skills and Productivity practice; therefore, experience or an interest in this market would be preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment including taking initiative in ambiguous and fluid situations. Experience of working in a project environment, and an understanding of project management tools and techniques. Desirable includes accreditation in one or more psychometric assessment tools, recognised project management qualifications, e.g. PRINCE2. Hold Security Clearance or be able to obtain clearance when you join us. You are likely to meet the skills and experience of this role if you have at least 6 years of relevant consulting or industry experience. Intelligent Working: We recognise that as individuals, we each have particular needs and that one size doesn't fit all when it comes to how, when and where you work. That's why we're proud to offer our colleagues agile working options. We are happy to discuss your own requirements and our range of flexible working arrangements in more detail, should that be of interest. KPMG is part of a global network of firms that offers Audit, Tax & Pensions, Consulting, Deal Advisory and Technology services with over 16,000 colleagues in the UK. Our work is often complex, yet our vision is simple: to be the clear choice for our clients, for our people and for the communities we work in.
