JobSummary: Manages all personnel involved in the surveillance of gaming operations in accordance with internal and external controls in an effort to maintain the integrity of casino operations. Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes, will supervise all Surveillance Shift Managers, Surveillance Supervisors, Surveillance Investigator(s), and Surveillance Analysts. Duties/Responsibilities: The Surveillance Operations Manager reports to the Director of Surveillance regarding policy, purpose, responsibilities, authority and administrative matters. Ensures the protection of all company and personnel assets through supervision and coordination of the daily activities and departmental personnel, engaged in investigating gaming and non-gaming areas. Ensures departmental compliance with all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures. Develops, in coordination with the Director of Surveillance, quality control procedures including frequent walk-through to ensure compliance. Supervises the Surveillance Department personnel including hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating performance. Develops and administers, in coordination with the Director of Surveillance, a comprehensive training program for all personnel involved in surveillance operations. Reviews and analyzes existing surveillance equipment and recommends new surveillance equipment purchases, installation and replacements to better meet the needs of the Casino on an annual basis. Develops, implements, revises and enforces internal Standard Operating Procedures for the Surveillance Department. Develops and maintains a good working relationship with the Virginia Lottery and state/local law enforcement agencies in the reporting of illegal operations in the Casino. Ensures accurate reporting and logging of all pertinent information by surveillance personnel as required. Partners with the Security Department to protect the customers, employees and the assets of the property from fire, theft, burglary, assault and other security issues. Partners with the Security Department to conduct investigations of accidents and suspected criminal activities. Conducts performance reviews, evaluations, coaching and mentoring of surveillance staff. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent. 5 or more years casino surveillance experience, 3 or more years management experience. Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations: Ability to obtain and maintain license as required by jurisdiction(s). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of a digital system utilized in a surveillance environment. Knowledge of operating a digital system with regards to workstations, software utilized, downloading, sending information, hardware, cabling, programming and configuration, settings, etc. related to operating such a system. Knowledge of fraud detection. Knowledge of investigative procedures and techniques. Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use of hand to finger dexterity, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; stand and/or walk for prolonged period of time. Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel. Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor. Possible exposure to high noise level for extended periods of time.
