About the Managing Director Designate position As Managing Director Designate, you'll oversee all critical business functions - commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and more. Acting as the key account manager for the top 15 customers, securing the place of the business as a respected supplier. Financial:

Increasing profitability, overseeing the P&L, and managing product costing. Product Development:

Oversee product development based on feedback from customers and market trends. Leadership:

Strategic mentoring and development of the team to include succession planning. Leading from the front, setting an example, and picking up any issues that fall between other departments. Improvements:

Driving efficiency, increasing output and performance across all areas of the business. Supply Chain:

Manage key supplier relationships to secure material supply and maintain key long-term relationships. To apply for the Managing Director Designate, you will need: Proven experience at a senior level within the manufacturing sector, for example, as an operations manager, plant manager, general manager, manufacturing manager, etc. An engineering background or a strong understanding of engineered products gained in a company with an element of bespoke/custom manufacturing. Strong leadership skills with a record of driving performance and mentoring teams. A solid grasp of financial metrics, including margins, P&L, and costings. Broad experience across functions like finance, supply chain, and product development.
