Job Opportunity: Managing Quantity Surveyor Location: Peterhead Position: Managing Quantity Surveyor Sector: Energy Infrastructure (Renewables) Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent A prominent civil engineering company is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial operations for the Eastern Green Link 2 project—an essential infrastructure development in the UK's renewable energy grid. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering project that will significantly contribute to the nation's green energy transition. Key Responsibilities:

Lead quantity surveying activities across multiple sites, ensuring cost control and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle. Manage all aspects of subcontractor and supplier negotiations, ensuring value for money and compliance with contractual obligations. Oversee and prepare detailed financial reports, including cost-value reconciliation and forecasting. Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, mentoring junior staff and supporting their development. Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring full compliance with contractual and legal obligations. Support the project in achieving financial targets and profitability through effective cost management and risk mitigation strategies. Skills and Experience Required:

Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in large-scale energy infrastructure projects. Strong expertise in managing contracts, including NEC3/NEC4 frameworks. Exceptional financial and commercial acumen, with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong understanding of risk management and dispute resolution within construction projects. Prior experience in renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects is highly desirable. What We Offer:
