£12.44 per hour plus holiday pay Job Overview: The Social Media Assistant (Part-Time) will support the marketing team in enhancing the profile and increasing the brand awareness of The Elite Scheme (ES). This role focuses on creating engaging and high-quality content across Xiaohongshu and WeChat to connect with target audiences effectively. The assistant will also contribute to developing and executing creative content strategies to align with the overall marketing goals of the business. The key tasks include but are not limited to: Competitive Research & Content Planning: Conduct weekly research on competitors’ social media content trends and discuss with the marketing team. Collect and analyse high-engagement and high-conversion posts, and write monthly content plans for ES’s social media. Content Creation for Xiaohongshu (RED): Develop high-quality content tailored to the preferences of high-net-worth families. Utilise online resources and existing marketing materials to create posts independently, including image design, copywriting, and video editing. Social Media Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of ES’s social media data monthly, identify key products and topics for promotion and provide recommendations for content optimisation. WeChat Article Writing: Analyse the psychology and needs of high-net-worth parents, creating insightful and perspective-aligned WeChat articles independently. Market Research: Conduct customer research, market/industry research, and competitor analysis to gather key insights to support marketing decisions. Participate in brainstorming sessions with the team, providing strategic input and creative ideas for marketing initiatives. Other Responsibilities: Fulfil any other ad hoc responsibilities designated by the line manager. Requirements: 1-3 years of formal experience operating Chinese mainstream social media platforms such as Xiaohongshu, WeChat, or TikTok (excluding managing personal accounts). Ability to independently create Xiaohongshu (RED) posts, including design images using graphic design software (e.g., Gaoding), edit videos using video editing tools (e.g., Jianying) and write articles tailored for targeted audiences. Knowledge or experience of UK boarding schools and university applications. Bilingual in Chinese and English, with strong proficiency in English reading and translation. A positive team player with integrity. Proactive with a “can-do” attitude and a solution-focused mentality. Entrepreneurial and innovative. Ability to cope under pressure and multitask.
