35,000 - 40,000 Our client is one of the UK's finest precision machining and fabrication companies, specializing in the production of complex, high-precision metal parts for leading companies in the aerospace sector. This engineer is responsible for technical conformity of all products, providing technical documentation, introducing new capabilities while maintaining and developing Methods of Manufacture. A great working knowledge of manufacturing complex Assemblies and Components in the Aerospace or a similar industry is essential. Good working knowledge of Document control to include ECR, NDA, DAR, Concession, Data Card, SOP, and quotation processes is required. Input of BOM's, Routing's, Rework Planning / Changes is also necessary. Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer
Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors. Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Assure product and process quality by monitoring process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with governing regulations. Identify innovative technologies to improve current processes and implement to completion. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those related to Health and Safety, Data Protection and issued Employee Handbook. Knowledge & Experience for the Manufacturing Engineer
Experience of sheet metal forming processes. Project management skills. CAD experience (2D and 3D). Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with Sheetmetal and machining assemblies. Welding knowledge would be advantageous. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work without supervision. Excellent time management skills. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask. Good knowledge of PFMEA's, DCM's, Control plans, inspection plans, etc. Outstanding problem-solving skills. Hours:
