Are you an engineer with experience in process development and manufacturing techniques? Do you have a background in managing projects? Do you have an interest in the aerospace industry? Then get in touch! We have a fantastic opportunity to work for our client in the Portishead area. Our client is a market leader in the aerospace and industrial sectors, and they are looking for a manufacturing engineer to enhance and broaden their manufacturing capabilities. This role is focused on process development and investment projects.

The Role: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll collaborate with the team to explore new manufacturing techniques, develop business cases for investments, and manage projects from concept to implementation. You'll liaise with suppliers, oversee the transition of new processes to production, and monitor cost savings while driving data-driven improvements. Responsibilities include:

Evaluate and improve existing and new manufacturing methods. Develop business cases for new investments and process updates. Support the overall investment strategy. Manage investment projects from concept to completion. Follow the company project management standards. Coordinate with suppliers and collaborate with the internal Capex team. Ensure smooth transition of new processes to production, training all relevant stakeholders. Track cost savings and monitor expenses for new investments and improvements. Promote data-driven manufacturing through smart investments. Establish initial process benchmarks. Help improve project management skills.

About you: 2+ years of experience in a similar role and manufacturing environment Degree or HND in an engineering discipline. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. IT literacy Knowledge of project management methods Working knowledge of automation and robotics (desirable)

The Package: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience Monday to Friday Days flexible working hours Annual bonus 25 days plus 8 bank holidays Development opportunities
