Piran Technology Group are an advanced carbon fibre manufacturing company supplying components and structures for the aerospace, space, defence and motorsport sectors. We are seeking a junior or skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to drive continuous improvement and efficiency within our operations. Responsibilities Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency and reduce waste. Utilise GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure product specifications are met. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues effectively. Assemble and fabricate components according to engineering specifications and schematics. Create and modify designs using CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development initiatives. Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance production quality and performance. Program and support the setup of curing processes of ovens and autoclaves Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role or similar position. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks. Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing. Experience with root cause analysis techniques and problem-solving methodologies. Familiarity with assembly and fabrication processes, including the ability to read schematics. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement practices within a manufacturing setting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Carbon fibre/composites knowledge is desirable.
