Job Overview TE Swindon are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the Process Engineering team working in the Materials Compounding Plant. The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to work closely with Operations, Product Development and Product Management to initiate and implement product, process and manufacturing improvements whilst assisting in day to day resolution of manufacturing issues.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Provide hands on day to day manufacturing support.

Deliver ongoing improvements to processes, procedures and products, with a view to improving Site Productivity, Quality and Scrap Reduction.

Collate and analyse data to provide solutions to Production and Technical problems.

Ensure that all production paperwork, machine recipes and specifications are in place and up to date.

Ensure product costings, standards and documentation are accurate.

Ensure all process changes are controlled and appropriately documented according to business procedures.

Ensure customer complaints are answered and resolved with robust solutions within business time frames.

Support Manufacturing trials through the plant for Sustaining or new Product Development.

Ensure all activities are carried out safely, and any hazards are correctly identified and reported in an expedient timeframe.

What your background should look like:

Experience working within a Compounding plant preferably with Polymers.

Engineering Qualification or working towards.

Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Practical, hands-on and action-oriented.

Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated with a positive attitude.

Flexibility to work on a number of projects and ability to prioritize.

Use of Microsoft and IT systems.

Six Sigma or Strong Analytical skills advantageous.
