The successful Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

Driving process improvements and waste reduction within the structural steel manufacturing environment. Leading projects involving new equipment, facilities, and safety enhancements. Researching and implementing innovative technologies and systems to optimise production. Embedding lean manufacturing principles across the production teams and wider business. Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure seamless delivery. Resolving issues using structured problem-solving techniques, such as 5 Whys, 3Cs, and A3 methodologies. Coaching and mentoring production teams to adopt and maintain continuous improvement practices.

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have: A degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in manufacturing or production engineering, ideally within the structural steel, heavy engineering, or related industries. A strong understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques. Experience managing improvement projects and delivering measurable results. The ability to analyse data, identify trends, and present actionable insights. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and resilience in the face of challenges.
