Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a global automotive supplier find a full-time Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering Department to support the departmental and production needs of the business in accordance with the company's policies. You will also become an integral part of the Key Leadership Team, reporting directly to the operations AGM. To give you an idea of how this Manufacturing Engineering Manager role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do: Report on manufacturing engineering performance or projects to all levels of the business. Direct all Manufacturing Engineering activities and personnel reporting to this position. Ensure the Engineering Department meets the customer’s delivery and quality requirements without disruption throughout prototype, pre-production, SOP, and production. Promote and initiate continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities, e.g., increase uptime and reduce cycle time. Create and manage an effective handover of processes to production, ensuring all relevant documentation and training are completed. Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to internal customers and suppliers. To apply for this Manufacturing Engineering Manager role, you will need experience in Tier 1 Automotive supply and experience within the Castings sector. You will also require the following: Higher educational engineering qualification and applicable work-related experience. Knowledge of all the following equipment – HPDC, CNC machining, robotic automation, fixing assembly, heat treatment, and straightening. Good knowledge of GD&T and the variables which affect aluminium casting production. Good mathematical aptitude with previous experience managing budgets.
