Manufacturing Excellence Manager Are you a forward-thinking Operations and Continuous Improvement Manager with a knack for driving continuous improvement, leading New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, and developing people to streamline operations? Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Excellence Manager with the capacity to oversee operational manufacturing activities (approximately 25% of your focus) while dedicating the majority of your time to reviewing and optimising the manufacturing processes through CI; steering and supporting NPI into production. Working with a team of skilled professionals, this role offers a unique blend of tactical and strategic responsibilities to drive overall operational activity forward and impact specific projects in this progressive and forward-thinking manufacturer. Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Excellence Manager: Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met. Take ownership of the NPI process, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, focusing on efficiency, quality, and lean processes. Utilise frameworks like SCRUM and Agile to manage projects and adapt quickly to changing demands. Monitor performance metrics and deliver actionable reports. Collaborate across departments to design and implement systems that enhance process improvements. Champion a culture of operational excellence across all levels. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment. Manage and optimise cell-based assembly operations, ensuring smooth workflows and high-quality outputs. Leverage technical manufacturing expertise to oversee the integration of new technologies and processes. Engage with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing goals with business objectives. Ideal Manufacturing Excellence Manager Candidate Profile: A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. Proven experience in value-added manufacturing, ideally with exposure to NPI processes as part of your work. Experience delivering CI methodologies within manufacturing operations. Ability to apply SCRUM and Agile frameworks within a manufacturing or operational environment. A track record of leading teams and delivering operational improvements. Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic and logical approach to problem-solving. Excellent interpersonal skills with an adaptable and motivational leadership style.
