As the

Manufacturing Operations Manager

for our client's Manufacturing Site near Wigan, you'll be reporting into a Group Operations Director and responsible for leading the full end-to-end operation of a fast-paced Continuous Process 24*5 Site. You'll have 3 direct reports (Engineering Manager, Production Manager & Warehouse Manager) with c.70 indirect reports and an Ops Budget of circa £6m. Key Responsibilities of Manufacturing Operations Manager: Site Strategy & Leadership:

Develop and implement strategic plans that align production processes with business objectives to increase yield, profitability, and throughput, identifying & leading Continuous Improvement Activities on-site to reduce waste & inefficiency. Decrease Downtime:

Minimise downtime by working closely with maintenance and production teams to identify and eliminate downtime issues. Implement preventative maintenance strategies to ensure equipment is always running at optimal capacity. Manufacturing Management & Operational Excellence:

Lead and manage the production team to ensure that all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively. Implement operational excellence initiatives like LEAN, 5S, SMED, KAIZEN, and SIX SIGMA programs to drive continuous improvement. Health & Safety:

Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Qualifications / Skills Required for Manufacturing Operations Manager: Qualified by Experience

OR HNC / HND / C&G / Degree

in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field Extensive knowledge and experience of Site / Production / Manufacturing / Operations Management within a continuous production / manufacture process environment (Food, Drink, Heavy Process, Paper Mills etc) Holds NEBOSH Certificates (or similar) Knowledgeable about HSE regulations - Experience implementing approved policies/procedures related thereunto desirable Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving targets For the successful
