Boeing Defence UK is looking for a Manufacturing Planner to join the Design and Production Engineering team in support of the Boeing UK Apache Programme. The role reports to the Production Engineering Manager, based in Middle Wallop, Hampshire.

Responsibilities:

For structural receipt of the aircraft, collecting of TDCs relevant to task schedules, creation of Work Orders from the Work Package in GOLDesp MRO and adding the demands for the materials required. To ensure all the materials for each scheduled maintenance input are planned and detailed on the WOs for the input and any unavailable materials are escalated to supply chain for resolution. To participate in Continual Improvement (CI) workshops as a Subject Matter expert (SME), when required, to identify and work with the relevant function to remove inefficiencies causing bottle necks or blockers, in order to maintain the planned schedule, escalating any such situations that are beyond their control to the MP&C IPT Lead. For timely escalation of emerging risks or issues which will cause impact to the schedule and/or productivity. To ensure you work within the limitations of their authorisations and to all necessary BDUK Pols/Pro's/Practices. Adopt a collaborative approach to their work and ensuring a collaborative approach is adopted. Incorporate changes to the Base Line schedules from the Pre-Input Maintenance Planners. Developing, deploying and supporting compliance/safety processes. Creation and support of process development, implementation and maintenance of Manufacturing Plans, Bill of Materials (BoM's), Work Instructions and Illustrations. Developing and planning manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives. Developing and integrating suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. Developing and implementing production and tooling methodologies. Participating on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions. Draft, update and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.

Qualifications:

Capable of creating detailed work instructions using technical writing ensuring all requirements and work recording measures are met. An excellent communicator, with a demonstrable ability to communicate and understand the technical work requirements of the team in order that key business targets are met. Proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes, and the application of these requirements within their area of accountability, responsibility and authority. Capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings and/or associated Authorised Technical Publications (ATP's), to provide guidance and support to the teams working on the aircraft or in the production of Work orders. Capable of working and communicating within management levels, cross functional areas and the customer effectively. Capable and experienced in sequencing and controlling demanding workloads, on time, to budget and to the required standard. The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Preferred Experience/Competencies:

Experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft/component and suitably trained/authorised on the aircraft type or component type being worked. Proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes, and the application of these requirements within their area of accountability, responsibility and authority. Proven knowledge of the air system scheduled maintenance to enable effective Review, acceptance and rejection of SoW, AWRs, deferred work etc at the pre-input phase.
