As part of our continued support to a major customer in the automotive industry, we are looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer with experience in process, project management, and design and installation of manufacturing processes and equipment. We are able to offer this position on either a permanent or contract basis; the salary/rate will be dependent on experience and seniority. The role will be based at the customer's facility in Cheshire.

Responsibilities Design process - feasibility Co-design Product & Process:

Style Assessment: check and quotation Requirements monitoring (definition scope according to RFQ schedule and follow-up) Assembly Integration and Validation Plan and Digital ECM Quotation: manage and check Define the list of parts needed for the mock-up and trials Participation in meetings: Hot housing meeting, area meeting, GDM meeting Technical review: validation robustness Traceability/conformity/safety tightening/sensitive process Management DST and assembly Contribution to SP² assessment

Assembly process adaptation:

Elaboration of the assembly sequence respecting the target gateways; if deviation from the target, justify this deviation Quotation of the different solutions if necessary: time, investments, surface, sequential delivering Definition of operating process and process sheets Development of product and process feasibility for assembly Technical proposals to guarantee assembly

Creation of requests for tools/equipment:

Creation of FOA (fiches d'ouverture d'affaire) request for study of specific tools or studying feasibility of assembling CAO environment will be provided to tool supplier for making feasibility study Participation in the construction of ways to integrate and validate process (contribution to book of specification of the equipment) Assembly evaluation synthesis to fill in the delivery's acceptance Creation of process sheets

Creation of assembly process sheets for one main car and then for all diversities according to our standards:

Definition of operating mode with evaluation of time needed to do operations by using MTM2 analysis Realization of the illustration coming from PLM of P sheets (M,D,E and A) from CAO Analysis and reduction of tightening diversity; the process sheets will be written in English, automatic foreign translation should be provided (according to the list to be defined by the OEM at SFM)

Validation on plant and pilot line:

Transfer to manufacturing team the process sheets Management of solving assembly issues during assembly (reactivity) Participation and update of PS during assembly of car dedicated to validate process sheets ('slow build') Support of assembly unit leader for the first vehicle Time adjustment for specific Process Sheet (manipulator) Transfer to serial team of all P sheets.

Qualifications HNC/Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Engineering

Essential Skills A high level of understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures ideally within a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills Knowledge and experience of automotive process engineering Knowledge of Project Management Experience of design and installation of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Experience Degree or equivalent relevant experience Knowledge and experience of automotive process engineering Knowledge of Project Management Experience of design and installation of manufacturing processes and equipment. Good communication & negotiation skills Strong cross-functional team leadership skills Able to work autonomously, with a hands-on approach. Good computer skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CAD systems AutoCad/Spacevision/Catia is an advantage Good communication skills, written & verbal Self-motivated team worker with a flexible working approach
