Manufacturing Project Manager
to join an internationally established first tier automotive supplier. The Manufacturing Project Manager will take full responsibility for all advanced manufacturing engineering activities for new programs coming into the business. This involves interaction from the quote phase for new products and then supporting the setup and layout of new facilities along with the selection & installation of equipment. Further to this, you will be responsible for all launch activities at the plant including prototype builds, tool trials, and process qualification to start of production. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate Plant Engineering & Operational resources to deliver a smooth production launch (commissioning / process layout / PFMEAs etc). Product quotation, process and equipment design, equipment setup to support product launch timing within budget. Managing tooling, equipment & facility budgets to ensure projects meet expected budgets. Industrialization of process and logistics means for all aspects of the launch of manufacturing programs. Building key working relationships with customers, internal teams & suppliers. Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Process time studies, AutoCAD layouts. The ideal candidate will be HNC/HND or degree qualified coupled with strong manufacturing engineering experience of introducing new projects into the plant.
