The
Team Leader
is accountable for overseeing a team of Production Operators to ensure that production plans are executed safely and efficiently. The role involves maintaining high standards of quality, adhering to budgetary constraints, and meeting performance targets. A significant aspect of this position requires being a visible presence on the shop floor to monitor compliance, provide guidance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through collaboration with other leaders and teams across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
Oversee production operations, ensuring that daily and weekly performance targets are met. Manage workflows, monitor real-time progress, and take corrective actions to address issues or inefficiencies. Ensure that standardised processes, such as hygiene, health & safety and operator asset care, are consistently executed to a high standard. Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring that risks are proactively managed and incidents are thoroughly investigated and reported. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and personal development plans to set clear objectives and provide feedback. Build positive relationships across teams and functions, ensuring that updates, goals, and strategies are effectively cascaded to the team. Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall performance. Manage all aspects of employee relations, including monitoring attendance, conducting return-to-work meetings, and managing disciplinary issues. What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a high-volume FMCG environment. They should have a strong foundation in health, safety, and quality systems and a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles. They should demonstrate exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for building relationships, providing feedback, and driving collaboration across the organization. The candidate must also be self-motivated, adaptable, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
